We are thrilled to journey with you on this year's Academy of Faith Card opportunities starting this Fall! Below you will find some guidance and details of what is expected from your family...
Overview:
There are 3 components of Primary Faith Formation for all primary-age children at Immaculate Conception Parish. They are the following:
1. Attending of one 3 faith formation programs: Academy of Faith (Summer Program), Wednesday evening, traditional, weekly Formatiodn at Immaculate Conception or Sunday Morning, traditional, weekly formation at St. Margaret of Scotland.
2. Completion of the Academy of Faith Card opportunities: Families choose 4 faith-filled events designed by the Faith Formation Office providing an opportunity to see/experience faith-in-action in a parish and/or community setting. Families can choose what works best for their family calendars and children see Christian life outside of the classroom! Choose from the following list on the Registration page to ensure your seats are reserved for your event!
3. Grab and Go Bags: (Advent/Christmas; Lent/Easter) Activity bags for your family to complete that will be distributed in the back of the church prior to the start of the Advent/Lenten season. Please scan the QR code that will be provided in September's bulletins to let us know what church you attend most frequently so we can have your bag ready for you! Once you have completed the activities needed, please return them to the parish office on or before the established due date! They are really neat faith-filled, seasonal activities for the whole family we are sure you will enjoy!
Whether you attended the Summer Academy of Faith, or you plan to attend one of the traditional formation classes this Fall, we are expecting everyone to complete the Academy Card and Grab & Go Bags to fulfill the 30-hour Diocesan requirements mandated by the Diocese of Wilmington!
