Requirements for Sacramental Preparation:

• Baptism: Children must have already received the Sacrament of Baptism.

• Age & Grade: Children must be in at least the 2nd Grade.

• Faith Formation: Children must be enrolled in a Catholic school, a Catholic homeschool program, or a parish Religious Education program both the year prior to receiving the sacrament AND the year they receive the sacraments (e.g., completed 1st-grade RE and currently enrolled in 2nd-grade RE).

• Order of Sacraments: Children must successfully complete First Reconciliation preparation before they can enter the First Communion portion of the program.

Important Dates & Schedule (2026-2027)

In-person classes will be held from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM on the specific Wednesdays listed below.

• Mandatory Parent Meeting: Wednesday, September 9th at 6:30 PM (School Building, 2nd Floor)

• Sacrament of Reconciliation (Penance, Confession):

  • Classes: Sept 16, Sept 30, Oct 14, Oct 28, Nov 11, and Dec 2

  • Practice & Tour: Sunday, December 6, 2026, immediately following the 11AM Mass at Immaculate Conception Church.

  (Note: Children may make their First Reconciliation at the parish Advent Reconciliation Service - date to be announced - or any scheduled Reconciliation after receiving a completion certificate. Please have them tell the priest that this is their First Reconciliation).

• Sacrament of First Eucharist (Communion):

  • Classes: Jan 6, Jan 20, Feb 3, Feb 17, Mar 3, Mar 17, Apr 7, and Apr 21

  • Rehearsal & Tour: Sunday, April 25, 2027, immediately following the 11AM Mass at Immaculate Conception Church.

  • First Communion Liturgy: Sunday, May 2, 2027, at 2:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church.
